The Tourmaline of the day is Pink Tourmaline! pink Tourmaline is very similar to a stone I highlighted in the past, Kunzite. Both of these stones are connected to the heart chakra so they are both great for love connections! It is great for healing and listening because it connects people emotions. Therapists and healers are recommended to wear Pink Tourmaline for it helps patients open up their emotions and and let loose of negative energy. Those who suffer from panic attacks and anxiety are encouraged to wear pink tourmaline as well for its remarkable ways in healing. So the next time you are trying to swoon a new love or just loosen up your feelings grab slap on your favorite piece of Pink Tourmaline!
The Jasper of the day is Ocean Jasper! Ocean Jasper is very beautiful and very rare, being only found on the remote coast of Madagascar which can only be mined at low tide. Ocean Jasper is great for opening and activating both the throat and heart chakra, which is why it helps people to express their feelings of love through actions. It is also known for helping people to relax and bring cooperation to their lives.
The crystal of the week is Tourmaline! Tourmaline comes in multiple colors and forms and is found all over the world. You can find basically every color of the rainbow in a piece of Tourmaline however, it grows in quartz so it is very difficult to extract the crystal pieces from their matrix without breaking them. Every piece of Tourmaline has its own metaphysical properties so everyday this week I will be highlighting a specific type of Tourmaline. Today will be Blue Tourmaline or scientifically know as Indicolite. Blue Tourmaline is great for activating the throat chakra. Thus helping heal the lungs, neck and respiratory problems. Mentally is helps maximize perception, thought, intelligence and absorption of information. Next time you are cramming for a big test remember to wear a piece of Blue Tourmaline!
The crystal this week is magical and beautiful Rhodonite! Deriving from the Greek word for Rose: rhodon, it ranges from dark pink, to translucent with sometimes brown and black veins running through the color. It is magically known for helping us to manifest deep wants and ambition and also for improving communication skills and helping our voices get heard. It is also very helpful in easing times of transition, such as a move or a next step in life. A great stone to use during meditation for its calming and strong motivation properties.
Amazonite is the crystal of the week! Named after the Amazon River for its bluish and green coloring, it is actually not even found in the Amazon, mostly in Madagascar, Mexico, Russia and Canada. Popular in ancient Egypt jewelry and artwork, for it was very easy to handle and mold. Amazonite has traditionally been linked to fertility, protection and spirits of the dead. Many people use Amazonite to help conjure up spirits and distant and lost memories. It is also said to help upper respiratory problems, inspire creativity, support communication and release emotions.
The crystal of the week is the mysterious and magical Moldavite. Most commonly found in The Czech Republic, it is thought to be formed from a meterorite crahsing into sand. Many people associate it as being a space stone, and therefore it makes people feel “spacey”. Moldavite is translucent green stone with a rough texture. It helps connect people into their inner selves and true being. Very good for meditation and other forms of self awareness.
The crystal for this week is Turquoise! Turquoise is another stone that has holds many metaphysical properties that can help improve our lives. The Native Americans used it in many of their sacred and spiritual jewelry pieces they made. Turquoise forms when water combines with aluminum and copper, thus why it has a bluish color. It has always been known to be a protective stone. Back in the Renaissance, men were always wearing Turquoise to protect them from accidents and war. Many cultures place Turquoise between carnelian or coral in jewelry pieces to represent the sky and earth. It is said to help strengthen our organs, balance our bodies, enhance nutrition, while also helping to cool emotions, calm our thoughts and neutralize negativity. Turquoise is a great stone to wear when is feeling anxious, nervous or overwhelmed with things going on in their lives.
The Opal of the day is Fire Opal, which I think os one of the most beautiful looking Opals. Fire Opal’s are great for those who are going through a hard time, or need some recovery time. They are great for helping restore energy and bringing people back to life after an emotionally or physically rough time.
As you know the crystal of the week is opal, and with all the different types of Opals i’m also doing Opal of the day. Today’s Opal is Cherry Opal. You can assume why Cherry Opal was given its name, but it also comes in orange. Cherry Opals are known for helping to regenerate tissue and blood. Many people who get into accidents or have surgery wear Cherry Opal’s to help speed up recovery. It is also known for increasing energy levels and lifting up moods.
The crystal of the week has been chosen, and the winner is Opal! Opal is one of my favorite stones. I own many beautiful pieces, and love the variety of colors, shapes, and forms it comes in. Opal is a very powerful stone, and is often considered un-lucky. There is a myth that goes no one is allowed to buy themselves an Opal unless it is their birthstone, (October), it must be given as a gift. Opal is also very delicate. It is made up of many water molecules, so when exposed to extreme heat or cold, small fractures can occur. Opal comes in many forms, including, Cherry Opals, Boulder Opals, Dark Opals, Fire Opal, Tree Opals, Common Opal and several others. All of these different forms offer different attributes and healing powers. The Opal of the DAY will be Andean Opal’s, who help soothe emotions and difficulties, while also helping to solve relationship issues.
The crystal of the week is Kunzite, for it is symbolizes love, support, understanding and peace which goes along with Valentines Day and and relationships in general. Kunzite comes in a variety of shades, but its most popular is a light pink or rose color. However, Kunzite must be handled with care, for direct sunlight fades the color and turns it translucent. Many people give a loved one a piece of Kunzite for it is known to strengthen the heart and connect those to universal love, while also helping to ease aggression and resolve conflicts. Kunzite is also known to help cardiovascular health and enhance self- esteem.
There are always those days where we lack the energetic drive we need to get through are day, and today is one of those days for me. Coffee may seem like an obvious choice to help boost energy, but personally coffee can make me sick to my stomach, or so jittery and wired that I can’t even begin to focus my energy into one place. Luckily, there are many stones out there which can help boost energy and productivity without making us feel like a sick hyped-up maniac. The list includes; Jet, Smokey Quartz, Tiger’s Eye, Garnet, Jasper, Amber and even Gold. All of these stones are commonly used in jewelry, which makes it them more accessible. It is also great that Gold that gold is on the list for men out there who may feel a bit odd wearing jewelry. My favorites from that list are, Tiger’s Eye, Jasper and Amber. I wear my Amber ring everyday not only cause I love the look of it, but because I can sense the energy it can give me in times of need. Above I posted pictures of the stones in the ordered they were listed. So remember, next time you have a big day ahead of you or are just feeling a bit un-enthused, grab one of your energy boosting stones or pieces of jewelry and feel your energy levels rise!!
*One quick thing, many of these stones come in different colors as well, especially Garnet and Jasper!
